The REPR is novel with the side charging handle, but I do not feel that the piston adds anything and I have a hard time justifying the cost in retrospect. The SR25-EMC is excellent, but expensive at more than $4K. Since then, it has been replaced by the M16 style rifle for competition at Camp. The M14 NM was first used in competition at Camp Perry in 1964 and was used by the U.
